The Retirement KITAS is a one-year, multiple-entry stay for people who are retiring in Indonesia, not a tourist visa you renew forever. The first question is age. The second is whether the pension and the bank balance match what we submit.
Apply for a Retirement KITAS. You must be 55 or older.
The fees we publish
- First application: IDR 17,000,000, valid one year, typically up to 14 working days
- Annual extension: IDR 15,000,000 per year
- Exit permit if you are in Indonesia (EPO): IDR 1,000,000, about 7 working days
- Exit permit if you are overseas (ETK): IDR 1,500,000, about 7 working days
- Changing the registered address while the permit is active: about IDR 1,000,000 to 1,500,000
Proof of funds
The file we prepare asks for:
- Passport information page and cover
- A bank statement for the last 3 months with at least USD 2,000
- A pension of at least USD 3,000 per month
- Health insurance
- A long-term address in Bali or elsewhere in Indonesia
The permit is multiple-entry for that year. You extend it annually if you stay.
If you are under 55
This product will not be approved on age alone. If you are still working remotely for a foreign employer, the stay to look at is the Digital Nomad Visa E33G, from IDR 15,000,000 if you apply from abroad. A local job needs a Working KITAS sponsored by an Indonesian company. A company you will own yourself is a PT PMA.
Before you pay
Have the pension evidence and the three-month statement in the same name as the passport. A statement that is short, unnamed, or below the balance is the usual reason a retirement file waits.
Current stay-permit practice is on imigrasi.go.id. If you are 55 or older and the pension figure is real, file the Retirement KITAS.
